Facilitating and promoting quality, affordable youth programs in southwest Montana
Who we are
Local government, business and economic development leaders, and interested citizens in southwest Montana recognized that the absence of quality, affordable childcare hinders the healthy development of its children, the social well-being of its citizens, and its overall economic development. With that in mind, the Boulder Childcare Working Group spurred the development of Southwest Montana Youth Partners, Inc. with the following mission, purpose, vision and values:

Facilitate and promote quality, affordable youth programs
Be a voice in our community to secure resources and help coordinate quality, affordable youth programs, with our initial focus on early childcare and education.
Purpose (Why)
Early investment in children improves our future
Children are our future. An early investment in child education is an investment in their future and an investment in our community’s future.
Vision (Where)
Support for Southwest Montana families promotes economic stability and community wellbeing
By supporting the early childhood education needs of Southwest Montana families, we are enhancing our area’s economic development. One minimum-wage worker in Montana would have to work approximately 28 weeks to pay for the childcare of one infant.

In all of Southwest Montana Youth Partners programs, the Board of Directors is clear to our employees, to our contractors and to our donors: Children and families are our bread and butter. They are our priority.

Not only do we promote early learning programs, we champion and value youth program professionals and appreciate those who dedicate their lives to enhancing early learning.
